Streaming Movies, TV, and Music

   Streaming is the new way to get entertainment delivered to our homes. Streaming is the transmission of video/audio entertainment from a cloud streaming service to our home TVs, via the internet. This presentation will be on November 13, 2024 in the Florida Room in the Atrium in Sun City Center.

   This presentation will discuss the use of this technology to deliver entertainment to our home devices. Various Streaming Devices like Roku, Fire, and Smart TVs as well as Services, like Netflix and Hulu will be discussed with respect to their suitability and cost. The internet, as the conduit that delivers the entertainment, will also be reviewed. Presentation by Phil Sorrentino.

Technology Has Exploded – Have Your Will / Trust Documents Kept Up?

   Have your recorded all of your on-line banking and credit card account information for your Personal Representative (aka Executor) to close upon your death? How about your social security and pension direct-deposit IDs and passwords. Did you remember your online utility bills, grocery delivery services, insurance policies, and medical information accounts? Which cloud service are you using to store your photos? What kind of streaming services are you using? Netflix? Hulu? ESPN?   Do you have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, or TikTok?

   Additionally, does your family have the names and contact info for your nearby friends and neighbors – you know – the ones who are going to let your dog out and feed your cat until they arrive? Come and learn about the Computer Club’s newest creation – the Orange Playbook. It is your list of local people for your out-of-town family to contact, as well as a comprehensive TO-DO list that emphasizes keeping your cell phone safe!
